Brendan Gallagher's "On Eve St" nearly here

Brendan Gallagher of Karma County and Dead Marines has finally finished building his studio, recording his first solo album, and now he’s completed mastering it in the final mastering session at the famed Studio 301 with Don “Is Good” Bartley - it’s been a big year for him!
I can’t wait to hear the album and I wish I could be there to see it performed live for the first time. There’s two dates (neither of which I can get to): With Bernie Hayes at Rose Of Australia Hotel, Erskineville Wed 21st June; With Liz Martin and Jesse Younan at Supper Club Fairfield RSL thur 22nd June.
Be there if you can!

STOP PRESS: Here’s your chance to help Bryan Brown, Aussie film icon, finally get the critical acclaim he so richly deserves - first place in Sunscreen, a national competition to uncover Australia’s best independent music video artists! As a nice incentive, you could also score yourself a double-pass to Port Macquarie’s white-hot Festival of the Sun music festival, worth $190.00 thanks to our very good mates at fasterlouder.com.au!

As true Karma County faithful know, Bryan Brown starred in the Dexter & Sinistra music video from the band’s most recent album, Pacifico. Directed by the renowned Sean Kennedy of More Please Productions, the clip has been a favourite at several music clip festivals since its release, due to its charming Australiana feel, gentle humour, and toe-tapping tune.

Now the clip is one of four finalists in the Sunscreen music video competition, but for it to win first place (and for you to score a ticket to Festival of the Sun) you’ll have to vote online. Karma County recommends you vote early and firmly to avoid disappointment (Mr Brown doesn’t like to be disappointed).

Entries close: Wednesday 26th October, 2005 - 11:00am

Get voting!
